Monkey see, Monkey barf

I’ve been watching more episodes of House.
I’m a junkie too.
So last night I saw this episode where one guy got sick on a plane and then everyone started getting sick too.
Lots of vomiting on this episode. Ech.
So House diagnoses the first guy with the bends, and the rest with mass hysteria. He says, “Monkey see, monkey barf.”
‘Oh that’s stupid. That’s a lame episode. That would never happen.’ I thought.
And then I went and threw up my dinner.

I think this will totally expose my "school nerd" side, but..."monkey see, monkey barf" is totally scientific. It's called the nocebo effect (think opposite of the placebo effect). With the latter, you gain the health benefit because you are expecting to. With the nocebo effect, you experience the medical problem, basically, because you talk yourself into it....
As for those cravings, beats me! But, oddly enough, a baked potato with butter and honey sounds kinda good :)
